Welcome to the kitchen! Please excuse the mess. Weird Sisters Kitchen is a work in progress. You’re here during the very earliest stage. Thanks for checking us out. I ask that you bear with us as we develop our food story from the ground up.
I believe that sharing food is one of the most sincere forms of love. And love is one of the most powerful magics we can wield. Science is another. Cooking combines the two. Our goal is to highlight the magic in the process.
Some of the inspiration for this site came from the many requests I’ve received to share my shortcuts and adaptations of my family’s favorite recipes. As the site grows, you will find comfort foods that have been lightened up or made lightning-fast to prepare. There will be diabetic-friendly treats and some special adaptations for food allergies. It all comes from recipes I’ve made over the years to share with those I love.
If you’re looking for recipes that address a special dietary need that you don’t see here, let me know. We may be able to stir up something that will work for you.
We invite you to join in by sharing your experiences in the kitchen with us, along with your tips and tricks. Please let us know if you try one of our recipes. We’d love to see your pictures.

The Original Weird Sisters
Song of the Witches
BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
(from Macbeth)
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
Here’s one of the more entertaining adaptations of Shakespeare’s words…
